A group of community people with an interest in St Matthias’ Church has been formed to ensure a viable future for St Matthias’ Church at Windermere.
Called Windermere Church Forever, the group is independent of the Anglican Church of Tasmania. It provides members of the community a way of donating for the future of the church, without donating directly to the Anglican Church or Parish.
In addition to helping meet the redress scheme target, one of the group’s aims is to raise money over the longer term to contribute to restoration and ongoing maintenance of the church building and grounds.
